Privacy notice
Ready, Set, Seat! separates adult account records from classroom work. Classrooms autosave in the teacher's browser on every plan, with optional Pro cloud sync and teacher-created portable copies.
Adult account and service information
We process the adult account holder's name, email address, educator-eligibility confirmation, the accepted Terms and Privacy Notice version and acceptance timestamp, password credential or Google provider record, password-reset records, sessions, IP address, browser or device user agent, security and rate-limit records, sign-in timestamps, owner role, plan status, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Native passwords are stored as one-way credential hashes. If a teacher chooses Google sign-in, Google provides the basic profile information needed to identify the adult account.
Essential cookies maintain the signed-in session. The browser also uses local storage and IndexedDB for account preferences and the classroom workspace. This information provides sign-in, recovery, security, billing access, browser-to-account separation, and optional cloud synchronization. The owner console can see adult account and plan information but not classroom rosters or files.
Browser workspace, backups, and optional cloud sync
Student names, random internal IDs, structured seating preferences and pairings, classes, charts, groups, and layouts persist in IndexedDB within the signed-in teacher's browser profile. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or changing browser profiles can remove or hide that copy.
Cloud sync is an optional Pro feature. Upgrading alone does not upload classroom information. When enabled, the same workspace is stored in a private Cloudflare R2 object assigned to the signed-in account and is used for recovery and multi-device synchronization. A browser safety copy is also maintained. Cloud storage is protected in transit and at rest by the hosting provider, but it is not end-to-end encrypted.
The product has no student accounts, free-text student note or reason fields, or public chart links. Do not place IEP or 504 information, diagnoses, behavior or medical information, grades, student IDs, contact details, or other sensitive records in names, labels, or files.
How information is used and shared
Cloudflare hosts the application and optional cloud workspace. Google processes Google sign-in when selected and Gmail receives support and feedback email sent to our published support inbox. Stripe processes checkout, recurring payments, receipts, and the customer billing portal; we do not receive full card or bank details. Resend processes the adult name, email address, and transactional message needed for email verification, password recovery, security notices, and account-deletion confirmation. When a teacher voluntarily sends feedback, the application saves the adult account name and email, selected category, current app section, feedback text, and submission time in the account database so the owner can review it. When configured, Resend also delivers that information to the support inbox. The app does not automatically attach classroom or student information to Google sign-in, Stripe, Resend, or feedback. Teachers must not put student names, rosters, charts, or other student information in feedback.
We do not sell personal or student information, run advertising, build commercial student profiles, publish seating charts, perform student analytics, or use classroom content to train AI models. We use classroom information only to provide, secure, support, and improve the teacher-requested service, and disclose it only to providers needed to operate that service or when required by law.
Devices, exports, and teacher-selected services
Anyone with access to the teacher's browser profile, device, readable.readysetseat.json backup, PDF, PNG, printout, or clipboard history may be able to see student names and seating information. Storage, sharing, printing, and deletion outside Ready, Set, Seat! are controlled by the teacher, school, device, browser, and selected backup or sharing services.
Access, correction, deletion, and retention
Browser data remains until it is removed through the app or browser. A cloud workspace remains available until the teacher deletes it or deletes the account. If Pro ends, new cloud writes stop, but the existing cloud copy can still be recovered or deleted. The cloud settings screen can turn off syncing while keeping that copy or permanently delete its classroom content.
Signed-in teachers can open Account settings to request permanent account deletion. The emailed link must be opened within 60 minutes in the same signed-in browser that requested it. Confirmation cancels an active Stripe subscription, removes the adult account, and replaces active cloud classroom content with a content-free deletion marker used to keep a stale device from recreating deleted data. Security, fraud-prevention, billing, and legal records may be retained only as reasonably necessary for those purposes. Saved feedback connected to the adult account is deleted with that account. Stripe, Resend, the support mailbox provider, and teacher-selected services retain their own records under their policies. Account deletion does not automatically erase a feedback email already delivered to the support inbox; contact us to request deletion of that correspondence.
Account or cloud deletion cannot erase browser data, downloaded files, printouts, clipboard history, or copies held by a school or teacher-selected provider. For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions, email Braycup123@gmail.com. Report a suspected security incident to Braycup123@gmail.com. Never email a roster, chart, classroom backup, or exported student information.
Schools, FERPA, and COPPA
Ready, Set, Seat! is designed for adult educators and does not offer student accounts. Its data-minimizing design may support a school's privacy program, but the product is not certified as FERPA- or COPPA-compliant, and no single product feature can make a school's use compliant.
We process school-provided student information only to provide the authorized educational service, restrict provider access to what is needed to operate it, do not use it for unrelated commercial purposes, and honor the access and deletion controls described here. The school or district remains responsible for approving the service and teacher-selected storage, completing required agreements and security reviews, and providing notices, consent, access, correction, or deletion rights required by its policies and applicable law. Schools seeking security information or a data-processing agreement may contact Braycup123@gmail.com.
Changes and contact
We will update the effective date when this notice changes. Material changes will be posted prominently in the service or communicated to the adult account email when appropriate. Ready, Set, Seat! is operated in New Jersey. Privacy, security, support, and school-agreement questions may be sent to Braycup123@gmail.com.
