Set up a classroom, arrange seats quickly, and let the browser save automatically—with optional Pro cloud sync for another device.
Get started in five steps
- Sign in as the educator.Choose a native email-and-password account or Google. Students do not create accounts.
- Let the classroom open. The app creates an account-specific browser workspace and reopens it automatically.
- Set up the room and class.Choose a layout, name the class, and add or import a names-only roster.
- Arrange and adjust.Choose a shuffle type, move students, lock seats, and save reusable charts.
- Pro: choose cloud sync.Turn it on only with school approval. The cloud workspace then opens first and the browser keeps a safety copy.
Sign-in and password recovery
Use the same account method each time. Google accounts use Google's account-recovery tools. For a native account, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page or open password recovery, enter the adult account email, and use the one-time link within 60 minutes. Check spam or junk mail if it does not arrive. Completing the reset signs out other active sessions.
Recovery email contains no roster, seating chart, group, layout, or classroom backup. If the email still does not arrive, contact Braycup123@gmail.comfrom the adult account address and do not attach student information.
Automatic saving, backups, and cloud sync
The normal workspace is stored in the signed-in teacher's browser profile and opens without a file prompt. Open Backups & restore only to restore or download a readable .readysetseat.json copy. Clearing browser site data or using private browsing can remove the browser copy, so keep an authorized portable backup when recovery matters.
Free keeps saving in the browser. With Pro cloud sync on, edits also sync automatically and the cloud copy opens first. If browser and cloud copies both changed, download a backup if needed and then choose which version to keep. Turning off sync keeps the cloud copy; choosingDelete cloud copy removes its classroom content.
Classroom tools and exports
- Use alphabetical arrangement for a predictable chart or shuffle for a fresh starting point.
- Mix tables and individual desks, move furniture within the shown boundary, and save layouts for reuse.
- Use presentation, groups, or the student picker only with an audience authorized by the school.
- PDFs, PNGs, clipboard images, printouts, and portable backups are readable outputs. Protect and delete them under school policy.
Published workspace limits
Each browser or cloud workspace supports up to 100 classes, 500 students in each class, and 100 layouts. Each class supports up to 500 seating charts and 500 saved group sets. These safety limits apply to Free and Pro; multiple classes and the everyday classroom toolkit remain available on Free.
Pro billing and cancellation
First-time Pro subscriptions include a 30-day free trial. After the trial, Pro costs $3 USD per month or $25 USD per year and renews automatically for the same billing period until canceled. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid a charge. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Ready, Set, Seat! does not receive or store full card or bank details.
Cancel before renewal through Plan details → Manage billing. Pro normally remains active through the paid-through date. After it ends, browser saving, portable backups, presentation, and exports continue on Free; new cloud writes stop, while the existing cloud copy remains available for recovery or deletion. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law; see the Terms for details.
Delete an account or cloud copy
Download any classroom backup you are authorized to keep first. Signed-in teachers can open Account settings, type the requested confirmation, and use the emailed link within 60 minutes in that same signed-in browser. Confirmation cancels an active Stripe subscription, removes the adult account, and replaces active cloud content with a content-free deletion marker. It cannot erase browser data, downloaded files, printouts, clipboard history, or copies held by another service.
To remove only the cloud classroom, open Cloud sync in the app and choose Delete cloud copy. The browser safety copy remains until the teacher removes it through the app or browser.
Support, privacy, and school review
For account, billing, privacy, security, technical, or school-agreement questions, email Braycup123@gmail.com. Include the adult account email and a description of the problem, but never email a roster, chart, classroom file, or exported student information. Ready, Set, Seat! is operated in New Jersey.
The service is designed for adult educators and has no student accounts. Its data-minimizing design may support school privacy work, but Ready, Set, Seat! does not claim FERPA or COPPA certification. School approval, required agreements, notices, consent, retention rules, and independent legal or policy review still apply.
